Finding Growth and Meaning

I believe that we all encounter stressors and obstacles that prevent us from finding growth, happiness, and meaning. My goal in treatment is to help my clients find ways to overcome and develop through these experiences. In my approach, the client holds the knowledge and motivation to make the desired changes in one’s life, while the therapist is charged with helping the client find them.

As a clinician, I integrate a variety of techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Multicultural approaches to meet client needs. I believe that the relationship between the client and therapist is most crucial to effective therapy.

In order to achieve a strong professional relationship, I focus on creating a safe, growth promoting environment in therapy. Key to this approach is understanding people as individuals. Within this emphasis, I recognize the importance of identity, culture, and client experiences as being crucial to understanding a client’s life, struggles, and strengths.

I provide 45-minute sessions, primarily online. While I do provide in-person treatment, availability is generally very limited.
